Our Story
Bay of Island Recreational Centre is proudly managed by Hapori aquatics – a partnership between Community Business & Environment Centre (CBEC) and Belgravia Leisure, owned by Sport Northland and funded by Far North District Council.
Open seven days a week, we are the perfect place for our community to make new friends while working on your health and fitness.

Our Facilities
Health Club
We offer a wide variety of health and fitness facilities including a fully equipped cardio and weight zone/
Aquatic
Our facility features a 25m indoor heated pool used for both casual use, and swimming lessons.
Squash Court
Get moving and hire a time slot in our Squash Court.
Swim Lessons
Swimming and water safety lessons are a fun and engaging way for kids and adults to learn to swim and be safe in aquatic environments. Suitable for infants from 6 months of age through to adults and offered all year round.
Accessibility
We aim to provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for people of all abilities. Our facilities, programs and services have been designed to allow people of all abilities to lead active and healthy lifestyles.
Aqua Aerobics
Stay fit without aggravation or injury. The resistance of the water within each exercise increases the intensity of your workout, helping to improve your strength, flexibility and overall health.
